The 2009 Grenada Food & Nutrition National Quiz sponsored by Real Value IGA Supermarket concluded on Wednesday 7th October. Bishop’s College of Carriacou emerged as Champions outscoring their competitors from the St. Joseph’s Convent, St. George’s, Happy Hill Secondary School and the Mt. Rose SDA Comprehensive School. Bishop’s College was also the winner in the individual category in the person of Miss. Naisha Ollivierre.
Real Value IGA Supermarket has been involved in sponsoring this competition for the last three years and this year took a decision to be the sole sponsor of the event as it complements one of our major objectives that being to facilitate and encourage healthy lifestyle practices among our local populace. We were also very much in support of the objectives of this GFNC initiative in strengthening the preparation of the students for the CXC Examinations and selecting the best team to represent Grenada at the Regional level. RVS’ Marketing Manager complimented the GFNC on continuing this initiative and urged the participants to put what they have learned into action in adhering to healthy lifestyle habits.
Bishop’s College will go on to represent Grenada at the Caribbean Food & Nutrition Regional Quiz scheduled for October 21 – 23 in Grenada.
