Even though the operation of a grocery retail business was not in Hassan Hadeed’s original life plan, turns out he is quite good at taking up unexpected challenges. The story is simple enough. In 2000 Hadeed and his family were developing the Spiceland Mall in Morne Rouge, Grenada when the company that had prepared to operate the supermarket within the mall suddenly withdrew. Hadeed – undaunted by the turn of events – launched into a new career as a grocery retailer.
